10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154
WEATHER: 8
We visited this beach in November during a tropical storm, so we saw it at its worst! But I would imagine that if you go during summer it would be great. Honestly, as long as it's not raining, Florida is always beachy and warm. The waves may be rougher during rain or storms, but this beach is open and ready to relax on the sand.
**This photo is taken from further South. The nude part has pink lifeguard stations closer to the tall buildings. |
Acceptance/Legality: 10
Something that you don't find very often with a clothing optional beach is that is is completely accepted and acknowledged by the law. This beach has clearly marked signs and boundries with fences. This is the first beach we have ever been on that has this! 10!!!
Trail/Access: 9
This beach has a lot going for it! Usually nude beaches are way out of the way with a long hike. This beach has paid parking and an easy, relatively short paved walkway from the car to the sand. Once on the sand, the nude beach is right there to the left.To get the the appropriate parking you need to be on the West side of the street in a marina parking lot and take a tunnel (#4) under the road. You pay in a little machine and place the ticket in your car window. It's a 3 min walk to the sand.

Privacy: 5
3/8 of a mile long with no trees and 4 lifeguard stations (in pink!!!) there is really no privacy. You can bring umbrellas or rent shade structures, but in general, you can't be shy here.
Nude Etiquette: 3
We were there on 1 raining day and one Weekend with sun and there were people laying down as couples, single people and those creepers that surround a woman or group of women that are without a man. Even a man with binoculars to checkout those in the water. This is typical human behavior as much as we dislike it. We encourage keeping your eyes to yourself and giving folks space. Unfortunately, not everyone has this etiquette built in and can't help themselves. We witnessed this on a not crowded day, as well as a really crowded day

Wild Life Safty: 6
This section is here because sometimes an area can have wild life that is dangerous or endangered and needs some attention. That we saw, this beach has sand crabs, tropical fish, coral, birds and mosquitos. So no big worries at this beach.
*Please don't touch coral. It dies when being touched/stepped on. *Though we didn't see any, sharks are always a possibility. *Mosquitos are not super prevalent, but this is Florida, so come prepared at night fall. |
